ShinyStat Free ShinyStat Pro ShinyStat Business
When is it best to optimize your site for a given browser?
In the report called “Browsers”, all visits to your site are listed according to the Browsers used by your visitors.

The first table provides the following information:
  • Number of listed Browsers, that is the total number of browsers (and their versions) used to access your site in a given time period
  • Total visits
  • Visits from Desktop Devices (% out of the total number of visits)
  • Visits from Mobile Devices (% out of the total number of visits)
The browsers (and their versions) are listed in the table herebelow grouped by browser.

Filters
  • Time period: by using the drop-down menu you can filter data for the time period you want to analyze.
  • Advanced calendar: you can select specific time periods other than those available with the drop-down menu "time period", thereby choosing freely the time period to examine. For more info on using the Advanced calendar, click here.
Pie Chart
The pie chart shows the percent distribution of all visits using different browsers in a particular time period.

Trend Chart

This chart allows you to compare the performance of the most used browsers to visit your site.
So you can identify which browsers are becoming more or less relevant to your visitors at a glance.
On the horizontal axis, the chart shows the days or the months of the represented period and, on the vertical axis, the number of visits for the first four browsers used to visit your site in the same interval.

It is possible to choose a different graph chart by clicking on the icon corresponding to the graph type (FL means "Flash Chart").
For intervals no longer than 6 months the chart shows a dotted line representing the 7-day mobile average.
For the other intervals, the chart shows only the 7-day mobile average.

The real time data and the daily forecast for the current day are represented in different colors. The color-coded chart is available only in case the 'Latest 31 days' interval is selected.

Table
Each line of the table provides the following information:
  • Browser: it shows the name of the browser used to visit your site
  • Visits: it shows the total number of visits to your site for a given browser
  • Percent (%): it shows the percent of visits to your site for a given browser, out of the total numbers of visits
  • Visits from Desktop Devices: it shows the number of visits to your site utilising a desktop device for a given browser
  • Visits from Mobile Devices: it shows the number of visits to your site utilising a mobile device for a given browser
  • Visits from Tablet: it shows the total numbers of visits to your site utilising a tablet for a given browser
  • Visits from Smartphone: it shows the total numbers of visits to your site utilising a smartphone for a given browser
  • Daily Unique Visitors: it displays the total (intended as the sum not de-duped) daily unique users who visited the site using the considered browser
Clicking on the “Day-by-day” icon in connection with each browser, you can access the report showing the trend of daily unique visitors and visits to your site using  the given browser in a particular time period.
